The Hampshire Event DJs team have had our busiest summer yet and 2022 is set to be busier still.
We’ve provided entertainment for almost 200 weddings and as a result collected a lot of Hampshire DJ reviews.
Here are some of the highlights from our short but packed summer 2021 wedding season.
Three Choirs Hampshire DJ Reviews
Weddings started in July with a few remaining restrictions on guest numbers.
A smaller guest list did not limit the fun at Three Choirs for Anna, James and their guests.
Wickham Vineyard is Hampshires finest vineyard wedding venue and we have been their preferred DJ suppliers since 2013.
Since then we’ve provided hundreds of legendary nights in the converted winery.
Anna trusted their recommendation and gave us quite a broad brief regarding the music they wanted to hear:
“We were recommended Hampshire Event DJs by our venue and they did not disappoint.
We had our first contact with Simon and instantly felt like we were chatting to a friend.
He filled us with total confidence were were in safe hands and would have the best time.
Martin was our DJ on the night and he smashed it! He picked up on the vibe quickly and got everyone dancing.

Tournerbury Woods Hampshire DJ Reviews
Our first wedding after restrictions lifted was on the day itself at Tournerbury Woods for Claire and Dan.
It’s the only ancient semi-natural woodland and seaside wedding venue in England and has a very secluded feel.
Photographers love it because of the many options it provides.
On the day the best man was unable to attend in person after testing positive for Covid.
Luckily we were on hand to enable him to deliver his speech live via our sound system instead.
The bride and groom had a very specific playlist in mind which represented their tastes and we sourced all their choices in advance :
“Hampshire Event DJs provided a truly excellent service from our first call to the close of the event.
They were incredibly professional and provided an excellent personalised service from the processional music to the last song of the night.
In addition they went above and beyond to support us when last minute we needed our best man to join us by audio. They even assisted the band with connections to plug into the venue sound system.

Weddings In The Wood Hampshire DJ Review
July ended with 6 weddings on the final day, including one for Lauren and Kieran at Weddings In The Wood.
This venue operates on the site of the New Forest Outdoor Centre and is one of the most unique places we play.
It really is the wedding destination for the outdoor type.
Lauren and Kieran contacted us at the start of the year having eventually decided on a DJ instead of a band.
They booked on the recommendation of Simon the wedding coordinator.
After the party they were very happy with the service we provided:

Martin was the DJ on the night of our wedding and was incredible! We can’t recommend them enough”
Our busy summer took us to many new venues for the first time including Syrencot, just over the border in Wiltshire.
The 13th century Manor House is a wonderful wedding location and the farm shed is a DJ suppliers dream.
A well thought out design makes the transition from wedding breakfast to evening reception seamless.
Each one of our nights at Syrencot was memorable but in particular Harriet and Ryans stands out.
They personalised so much of their day, including our DJ stand.
The couple were excited when they discovered they could create a design on our perspex screen.
Harriets dad then converted it into a Lightbox for their garden.
They were very happy with their evening and left the following feedback:
“Our guests were dancing all night which was exactly what we wanted.
The communication was top notch and Simon was professional yet friendly and took on board everything we wanted. He blended in with the guests and we couldn’t have had a better wedding DJ”
We spent a lot of the summer in the barn at Burley Manor fulfilling Covid postponed commitments.
Eliza and Seamus were one of the many couples who had to change their plans.
They booked us in summer 2019 after meeting us at a Burley Manor wedding fair.
Their original date of May 2020 was postponed until July 21 and we were in touch throughout discussing different options for what we could do should restrictions continue.
Unfortunately in the week before their date they had to postpone again. Finally it was third time lucky:
“From our first interaction with this company we’ve had nothing but the best possible experience.
We booked, we postponed and they made it so easy.
We prepped for a Covid safe wedding which they went above and beyond with creating entertaining games we could play like musical bingo.
Then the groom caught Covid and we had to re-arrange again at the last minute.
Again Simon and the team were incredible about making the bad situation so much better by their helpfulness and we can’t thank them enough for that.
When it finally got to our wedding day they were AMAZING!!!
We gave them full creative control over the music and oh boy he did not disappoint.
There were guests who attempted to leave after saying good night three times.
They were out the door and down the path but KEPT COMING BACK FOR THE MUSIC.
It felt like we had a friend there with us DJing, our guests loved him and he was very laid back about taking requests. I could not recommend Hampshire Event DJs highly enough”.
November has arrived and our wedding season is all but over.
It’s been intense and immense but the team are looking forward to a slower pace before doing it all again.
We’ve expanded our team due to extra demand and after an extensive search we have 3 new DJs joining in 2022.
