Kimbridge Barn is a rustic barn venue near Romsey on the banks of The River Test.
It’s a charming café and tea room by day which also provides parties or the complete wedding experience for your special day.
The beamed barn is licensed for civil marriage or partnership ceremonies and can seat 100 wedding breakfast guests.
Outside a private courtyard provides space to relax post ceremony or during your the evening buffet in summer with fire pits removing any evening chills.
For smaller more intimate gatherings the cosy boot room can provide the perfect space for a memorable gathering.
Lucy and Stephen booked us 2 years before their special day after reading reviews and following advice of the team at Kimbridge.
We made an online introduction to explain our processes and how they can select music on our platform.
Confident we would be able to match their vibe for the evening, they paid a deposit to secured us as their Kimbridge Barn wedding DJ.
During the lead in they provided plenty of music guidance via a Spotify playlist and our own platform.
The general vibe was late 00s/early 10s dance/club/pop hits with the freedom for our DJ Dan to “use his judgement to mix in other stuff he feels will work”.
Our couple had asked us to let their guests know it was fine to leave without saying goodbye because they wanted to spend as much time on the dance floor as possible.
“Irish goodbyes” are something we’ve seen become a trend this year.
Personalise Your Party Music
Lucy and Stephen chose a Frankie Valli song for their first dance and asked us to follow it with Blink 182 which filled the dance floor with tremendous energy and set the tone for the night.
Lucy is a self confessed Swiftie and “You Belong With Me” went down very well with the bridesmaids while Tinchy Stryder & NDubz was a huge hit with everyone.
Our couple gave us the free choice for the final song of the night and there was only really one track we could end on.
While many guests had slipped away discreetly during the evening there was still a large crowd present for a rousing, bouncing finale to “Love Story.

From the first phone call with Simon I knew I had made the right decision in booking Hampshire Event DJs.
After providing him with a playlist and instructions to feel free to go off piste, but remain consistent with the general vibe/genres of the original playlist, Simon did not hold back.
Banger after banger came thick and fast for the entire duration, and even with other entertainment available at the wedding, the dance floor remained occupied all night long.
