New Forest Winter Wedding Venue
Becca and Drew chose Burley ManorBarn as their dream winter wedding venue at Christmas 2019.
They currently live in America but the venue is close to her childhood home in Christchurch.
The venue provided a perfect destination for their many guests and family who flew in from the states to share the special day.
Hiring the venue for exclusive use allowed everyone to get to know each other before the party as they were accommodated together.
It also provided a perfect base for visitors to experience the charm of the New Forest during their stay.

As the couple live abroad she provided a lot of the research for them and was confident we would be the right choice.
We arranged to catch up with the couple at nearby Avon Beach when they next visited.
Like many US couples their priority was finding a DJ who would be inclusive and suit the varied tastes of their guests, especially those travelling from America.
We chatted a but about the psychology of music and tracks with would give them a nostalgia bounce. They flew back to the states confident were the right choice for their entertainment.
Hip Hop Crowd Pleasers
We knew it was going to be a lively evening from the excited buzz when we arrived.
While we set up in the old barn the wedding party moved to the drawing room in the Manor House for speeches and toasts.
They returned in high spirits and expectations to match.
After a first dance to a stripped down Calvin Harris cover we jumped in with a one of his big EDM hits.
90s club classics followed and then hip-hop crowd pleasers by Lil’ Jon and House of Pain.
Usually a track like “Jump Around” would appear much later in the night but it suited the mood to play it after 10 minutes!
Later alternative rock of their college years by bands like Jet, Jimmy Eat World and Smashmouth filled the floor.
In between there were plenty of songs their families could enjoy together.

The party continued in the bar of the hotel long after we had packed away.
A few days later Drew took the time to leave a review:
“What can I say, Hampshire DJs exceeded all expectations for our New Forest wedding at Burley Manor! This was no an easy task, but they were up for the challenge.
We had quite the diverse crew (70% American- 30% British, ages 16-92) with a wide ranging taste in music. They took this challenge head on and absolutely crushed it.
They were professional from the beginning to end.
Hampshire Event DJs were able to build a custom set that kept the dance floor packed all night!
Simon went above and beyond his DJ duties and even but helped facilitate multiple suppliers and did everything possible to take the stress off the bride.
