Poppydown Vineyard is a hill top exclusive use vineyard venue just outside Droxford.
Because of its location, when it comes to picturesque views Poppydown is hard to beat.
The vineyard is set within 10 acres and provides stunning views across the South Downs National Park.
You can say your vows against the back drop of Winchester Hill and Beacon Hill.
The barn has been purpose built and is fully air conditioned.
Because of its unique location the owners of Poppydown have a unique set of requirements for entertainment.
Being on the top of a hill means sound can carry some distance so working with a DJ supplier who would keep the neighbours happy and help them keep their licence was key.
We reached out to Ellis and Joe after they booked their wedding with Poppydown, almost 2 years in advance of their special day.
They had heard good things about what we do from the venue owners and were excited to be working with us.
6 months away from their wedding we sent a login to our client platform so they could begin the process of giving their music guidance.
Aside from one or two specific tracks Ellis and Joe said they would prefer not to hear anything pre-1980s.
They really liked indie and pop punk plus club music from the 00s and were keen to avoid anything with a dance routine like The Macarena and Saturday night.
On the night our DJ Martin had plenty of familiar floor fillers to work with and after their first dance the dance floor filled and was lively all evening until it was time to finish.
The next day Ellis reached out to thank us for delivering a perfect party.
