Southend Barns has been a country paradise for weddings and events since 2012.
Set in the glorious Sussex countryside on the site of what was once a working farm, it has bags of charm and the sort of quality and attention you only find with a family run venue designed specifically for weddings.
There are indoor and outdoor ceremony spaces with dining and partying taking place in the rustic beamed Threshing Barn.
The venue is blessed with an experienced events team who handle the logistics of every wedding or celebration and will help bring your plans to life.
Jazz and Dan chose November for their wedding at Southend Barns.
They found us on the recommendation of a friend.
After arranging a chat online booked us in for their wedding the next year.
Their brief was quite straight forward : the only thing off limits was cheese with a dance routine.
This was music to our ears!
They were keen to hear country and some old school drum and bass, away from this they said they were happy to leave us to be creative so their guests danced and had a good time.

The ceremony took place in the Dairy Barn and after adjourning for drinks in the collecting yard the wedding party moved into the Threshing Barn for the wedding breakfast and speeches.
After eating the guests moved back outside and toasted marshmallows over the fire pit while we set up.
Country music was very big for Jazz and Dan and their first dance was to a cover by Darius Rucker.
They welcomed their guests on after the first chorus and the floor filled to tracks by Nicki Minaj, Ida Corr and Sean Paul.
Later we worked through party classics from The Killers and Fountains Of Wayne before rounding out the night with Chase & Status, UK Apache and Wilkinson.
