It’s been a difficult week for the wedding industry and we’ve been talking to clients and repeatedly reviewing the Covid DJ rules.
The change in restrictions have led to a lot of enquiries for providing our services outside at private residences.
After much consideration we’ve decided not take any new bookings for events due to happen before July 19th 2021.

Covid DJ Rules Have Changed

We had always planned to provide outdoor receptions and events after June 21st should restrictions on dancing indoors extend.
We assumed any extension would be due to the infection rate not falling fast enough and the existing Covid DJ rules would stay in place.
Instead the R rate is increasing and the rules have changed.
Should the level of infection rates continue to rise it risks further heartbreak and hard times for the 150 couples we are due to work with later this year. 

Preparing For A Safe Return

It is a frustrating situation but one outside of our control and throughout the pandemic we have always maintained a positive outlook.
We prepared for a safe return to work by investing in custom PPE screens and other measures which will protect our team and our clients and reduce the risk of infection. 
In recent months we’ve worked closely with local authorities in Hampshire to seek clarity on the rules of what we can and can’t do. These rules have now changed and lack clarity.
We even reached out to the DCMS and suggested with the variety of venues and high volume of work we would be perfect for Covid trials into weddings. They declined to respond.
We do know the only dancing allowed inside is a couples first dance. Dancing outside is still allowed (although advised against) and outside events are possible subject to comprehensive risk assessments.
We feel the sensible thing to do is wait for infections reduce before we get back out and create more legendary nights.
