The New Forest National Park is full of historic venues perfect for a wedding.
One of our favourites is Burley Manor Country House and Spa.
Built in the 19th century, this former royal manor can provide a fairy tale location for your big day.
Behind the house is the barn where the celebrations take place.
There are 2 spaces with ceremonies usually in Deer Park and the wedding breakfast and reception in the main barn.
Between formalities your guests can relax on the decking and lawn.
During the evening Deer Park can be used for your buffet and entertainment such as a Photo Booth.
The grounds are a photographers dream with so many locations in the grounds and surrounding heathlands.
On a warm summer day there is no better place to celebrate and you have the option to hire the hotel for exclusive use.
Party At Burley Manor Barn
Chris and Harriet booked us to provide their entertainment at Burley Manor.
Music is very important to the couple and their tastes range from the 1950s through to present day.
They live in Surrey and were grateful to follow the recommendation of the venue.
After reading our online review and catching up over Zoom they knew we would be able to deliver the kind of soundtrack they wanted.
One of our most popular services is providing custom music edits of tracks.
We usually do this to reduce the duration of a first dance or create a transition from an acoustic cover to a more upbeat remix.
For this party we provided one for the first dance, Harriet’s dance with her father and Chris’s dance with his mum.
All 3 took less than 6 minutes in total.
With the formalities complete we launched into a party crossing genres and eras from Bowie to Blur and Sean Paul to Simon & Garfunkel.
We closed out the evening with Hey Jude by the Beatles at the request of Harriet who is a huge fan of the band.
This party happened on one of the warmest days of the year but one of the advantages of a September wedding is the evenings begin to draw in and this often means you get the best of both worlds : a warm sunny day and a brilliant packed dance floor as the evening draws in sooner.
